Who discovered cells and when?
Robert Hooke discovered cells in both living and dead organisms in 1665 using a microscope. Between 1663 and 1664 , he started to work on microscopic observations; in 1665, he published his work on microscopic studies in the book -"Micrographia", the first ever book on cells. The first Cell theory is credited to the work of Theodor Schwann and Matthias Jakob Schleiden in the 1830s.
