Briefly explain the function of these features which are unique to plant cells.
Cell wall - The cell wall is a tough, yet flexible layer that surrounds the cell membrane. It has many functions, but its main function is to give the plant cell rigidity and strength. The cell wall also helps to determine and maintain the shape and structure of a plant cell.
Chloroplasts - Chloroplasts capture the sun’s light, along with water and carbon dioxide gas to produce energy for the cell. The process is known as photosynthesis
